He had never seen such a discordant monster. He refused, he couldn't force his friend to go to such a woman and let himself carry a heavy mental baggage. Gawain learned the news and said to Arthur: "I agree to marry the witch. There is nothing more important than saving Arthur's life and preserving the Round Table." So the wedding was announced, and the witch answered Arthur's question: What women really want is to control their own destiny. Everyone knew immediately that the witch had spoken a great truth, and Arthur's life was saved.

Gawain was as meek as ever, but the witch showed off her worst behavior at the celebration: she ate with her hands, burped, farted, and made everyone feel sick and uncomfortable.
