The identification report recently received by the hospital stated that the karyotype was the first reported chromosomal abnormality karyotype in the world.
According to the discoverer of this karyotype, Han Shuyi from the genetics laboratory of the hospital, a man went to the hospital for treatment last year due to oligozoospermia, and his wife had a history of five spontaneous abortions. The doctor recommended that he undergo a chromosomal examination, and the results showed that his karyotype was 46, Chromosomal translocation is one of the important causes of miscarriage. Among infertile people, the proportion of chromosomal abnormality carriers is as high as 5% to 15%.
