Do different sleeping positions affect sex life? Peep into the couple’s interesting sleeping positions
When you sleep with your partner, do you hug each other affectionately, or do you stay silent? A new study published in the British "Daily Mail" shows that the physical contact between couples while sleeping can tell whether their relationship is mutually satisfying.
Researchers from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK surveyed the sleeping positions of 1,000 couples and found that couples' favorite sleeping position is back-to-back, with 42% of couples doing this. 31% prefer to sleep facing the same direction, while 4% sleep facing each other, and some couples sleep in separate rooms or have uncertain sleeping positions. Among them, 12% of couples sleep less than an inch (about 2.5 cm) apart, and 2% sleep more than 30 inches (about 76 cm) apart. Couples who slept less than one inch apart were more happy and more satisfied with their sex lives than those who slept 30 inches apart.
"This is the first study of couples' sleeping positions. We believe that physical distance while sleeping seems to translate into emotional distance, so no matter what sleeping position a couple is used to, maintaining physical contact is most beneficial. Professor Richard Wiseman, a psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire, said that if you want to make the relationship more pleasant, you can give each other a hug before going to bed and then give each other some "distance." ”, but keep proper contact with your hands or other parts of your body.
Interestingly, the study also found that people who are more extroverted sleep closer to their partners. People with creative thinking tend to sleep on each other's left side.
