There is a normal range for male testicle size, and men can do a self-examination.

One study pointed out that a simple way to detect this is to make an "OK" gesture with your thumb and index finger. Men can use a circle formed by two fingers to cover the testicles. If it is very loose or cannot be inserted at all, it means that the size of the testicles is abnormal, and it is best to go to the hospital for examination.

Generally, the testicular volume of Chinese adult men is about 15-23 ml, and the size difference between the testicles on both sides does not exceed 2 ml. Less than 12 ml indicates testicular dysplasia or atrophy. If the testicular volume increases abnormally, it may be a testicular seminal cyst or tumor, which may also affect testicular function.

In addition to size, the position of the testicles is also an issue that needs attention. If the location is too high, in the groin, or even in the belly, testicular function will be affected. At the same time, normal testicles are hard and somewhat elastic. Hard and inelastic, or too soft, indicates possible damage to the internal tissue. It is recommended that men check their testicles every month so that problems can be detected early and treated.
